I went up to Raleigh today and saw my little boy!!! He's doing GREAT!!! I got there about 10:45am and spent over an hour with him! I'm not sure who was more excited to see each other, me or him, but it was so good to wrap my arms around his furry little neck! I can't believe how big he is getting and how much his colors are changing! He is just so beautiful!!! He is progressing very well and is right on track of where he's supposed to be. He's made such a tremendous amount of progress since last week, it's almost like night and day! He can walk a lot more now (even though he's still a little wobbly in his back end). He can also sit, stand, and lay down with hardly no problems at all! The tech said that they noticed him standing up to drink his water yesterday, which is a great sign that he's feeling better! His doctor at the rehab center calls me just about every night to give me an update on how he's doing (even though I call every day) and he said that he's doing perfect! They started taking him on short walks around the facility yesterday and he should start his water treadmill therapy towards the end of the week (probably Friday). He also said that his incisions are healing nicely and the stitches should come out next week! All things are going great! His fur is even starting to grow back a little and it won't be long before you won't even know he had his surgery! When I was getting ready to leave, the techs were going to work with Audo a little and exercise him (one of the many he does in a day). I called on my way home to make sure he was still doing OK after our visit, and he was doing great! He has settled down a lot since his arrival there and has become familiar with the people (which is good) and seems to like it there which makes me very happy! At least I know he's in good hands while I'm not there! I did notice today that he's still protective over me and he loves his mama! He definitely puts a smile on my face! So the plan is this, I'll go see Audo again next week (probably Tues or Wed) then after that he'll be picked up that following Monday (the 15th). I can't wait to get his cute little butt home!!! I'll keep you posted!
